As shoulder injuries are usually coupled with the onset of pain, reduced strength and movement, it is important to see a trained specialist so as to strengthen the muscles around your shoulder joint and not to stress the rotator cuff muscles of the shoulder. The rotator cuff muscles are susceptible to injury and inflammation if the exercises aren’t being done correctly, so your physiotherapist will guide you through the correct form.
Elbow pain and injuries tend to respond more favorably to physiotherapy intervention and treatment when sought early. It is also important to visit a physiotherapist as elbow pain could be caused by muscle, tendon or a joint injury – or it could even be a result of referred pain from somewhere else.
