Come and hear first hand knowledge from a national athlete, a triathlon coach and a physiotherapist on how you can improve your running – from training tips to personal experience. You will leave this session with valuable insight on the practical ways in which you can notably improve on your run.
Meet our speakers
Ying Rong is a physiotherapist with Core Concepts and a national athlete. She is a highly dedicated runner, having picked up the sport since 2008. She has represented the nation at various international platforms such as the 2009 Asian Cross Country Championships in Bahrain, 2015 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in China and winning the 2015 Taipei Half Marathon in her age category.
Ying Rong will be sharing on her personal experience as a national athlete – including her background and personal mistakes made during her journey. She will also share what she has learnt from those mistakes as well as tips on how you can improve your running performance and prevent injuries.
Michael Lyons is a level 2 Tri NZ certified coach, and a co-owner of TriEdge Team who coaches more than 100 athletes in Singapore.
Michael is a former Dual National Triathlon title holder at age group level, NZ National Team member and has had more than 100 races under his belt before transitioning to coaching. In this session, Michael will be sharing on real life coaching observations and examples, covering athlete observations, training methods and achieving breakthroughs in performance.
