What is Foot Pain Physiotherapyfoot pain

Physiotherapy is the treatment of injury, disease, and disorders through physical methods such as exercises, massage, and other treatments. Physiotherapy does not include any medication or surgery to help alleviate patient issues but is able to refer you to a specialist if necessary.

A physiotherapist is able to alleviate these pains through a plethora of treatment techniques to restore, maintain, and help prevent impediments towards the patient’s mobility, function, and well-being.

How can Physiotherapy help with Foot Pain

Having foot pain that lasts for more than a few weeks can be a hindrance to your daily activity. Simple activities such as walking to the kitchen to grab a drink may occur some discomfort or pain. Apart from the physical toll on your body, living in constant pain can also impact your mental wellbeing negatively. A physiotherapist will be able to accurately diagnose the root cause of your foot pain, relieve the immediate issues and come up with a treatment plan to ensure that the pain does not recur. This will ensure that you will be able to get back to normal functioning levels as quickly as possible.

I have been experiencing knee pains lately especially walking up and down the stairs. The pain was so bad that I was very concern. I chanced upon CoreConcept on FB and book an appointment with them at Camden Medical Centre. My therapist was Ken Liew, he is very professional and knowledgeable. He did a thorough job to assess my condition. To my surprise I felt immediate relieved on my knee after the first session with him! Amazing! Looking forward to my next session. 😊

Xue Ting has been working on my troublesome QL, hip girdle - basically the whole left lower kinetic chain! She has been patient, strong and cerebral in her approach to my 48 year old compensatory mechanisms. Her strong massage will finish with an assessment of muscle imbalance and poor activation with finally a retraining back to healthy movement.

I’m impressed! Thanks Core Concepts!

Core concepts is a one shop stop for all bodily issues you have: physio, massage and functional training. When I got to know them I got diagnosed with slip disc. Pilates did no longer help and three surgeons told me the only option is surgery. Now, 2 years later I can take an intercontinental flight without pain, swim more than 1000m, even started running 5km and WITHOUT SURGERY. Thanks Sam, Kelvin and team!

Very professional and caring Therapists. My left foot has been hurting for months. After 3 sessions with the therapist, 80% of the pain was gone. However, the remaining 20% still lingered on. They then had me do the functional training. After few sessions, I am left with only 2% of the pain and I am being discharged. The team is very professional and effective. Thanks everyone!

Friendly and really professional service! I immediately felt welcomed the moment I stepped into the clinic! The physio offered me great advice beyond what I had asked, which allowed me to have a deeper understanding as to why I had my issue in the first place. With this kind of service, I would honestly recommend this physio if you are serious about getting better.

What to expect during your first physiotherapy appointment

During your first session, your physiotherapist will find out more about your shoulder and perform an assessment to accurately diagnose the cause of your foot pain. After determining the cause of your foot pain, your physiotherapist will help to relieve the pain and come up with a treatment plan that best suits your lifestyle and treatment goals. Our objective is to resolve the root cause of your pain so as to prevent a recurrence of the problem.

You do not require a doctor’s referral to make an appointment with us. No x-rays are required as well, but if you have had one done – feel free to bring them along for your appointment. We provide a comfortable change of clothes at our clinics as well for those of you who may be coming from work.

Your first session will be 45 minutes long, subsequent sessions will be 30 minutes long. The number of sessions required depends on your condition and treatment goals which would be discussed with your physiotherapist during your initial consultation. Each session is $135 (before GST) and you are able to claim the cost from your insurance provider if your coverage includes physiotherapy treatment. Do contact your insurance provider for further details as each individual’s coverage differs.
